Bound Photo shoot sneak peek

I was lucky to have the gorgeous B Family over for a Family photo shoot today, I am having a great time editing these photos. I am just currently having storage issues on my computer as they are quite large files as I love to shoot in RAW format.

This Moment

Joining in with Soule Mama this week ~ *{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.*

"To the women of today, who are old or young, may I suggest that you write, that you keep journals, that you express your thoughts. Writing is a great discipline. It is a tremendous education effort. It will assist you in various ways, and you will bless the lives of many ~ now and in the years to come, as you {share} some of your experiences and musings."

Gordon B. Hinckley

I love love love  reading but never really felt that much of a writer,  But it sure does feel great to sit down at the laptop and just write. But writing here reminds of my passion and thats my FAMILY.  It is a nice way to document of lives and enjoy the moments that we share.

I heard a quote the other day that put a smile on my face - If you think women TALK alot you should see how much they WRITE!

and another one I read in an article - Parenthood changes peoples lives, Blogs make them feel they are not alone>

I want to remember the highs, the lows and the quite frankly bizarre things that are so easy to forget as the kids grow up. It’s a permanent account of our life which I’ll be able to look back on and smile.
Blogging means alot to me as it allows me to be me, not just Mummy, wife, cook, cleaner and so on. I would feel lost without it.

Raw Food detox

After all the Easter commotion and the fact that I have wanted to begin this journey for a long time now but all the same excuses kept pulling me down - We just moved house, when we become settled I will start, Im too Tired, When all the Junk Processed food is cleared out of the cupboard and I will not re-fill it with the same then it will be easier but nothing seemed to really changed so TODAY is the day I will make this beginning.

I stumbled across this book at a impromptu visit to the library and it has been hard to put down ever since.
My Green Juice consisited of:

Silver beet ( or spinach/kale)
 Lettuce
2x apples
1x whole lemon
grated ginger rind
All juiced throught the juicer- the lemon really takes out the green flavour!

I plan on making this every morning for breakfast followed by only eating fresh (organic where possible) fruit until 12:00pm and then followed by fresh salads and another green juice in the afternoon followed by a normal dinner.

INSPIRATIONAL QUOTE OF THE DAY

I really wish my boys will grow up and always think
of this!!!

Easter Break - Byron Bay

Easter Break - Ocean Shores

If there is one place I would love to move to in this life time it would be the Tweed Valley on the New South Wales northern coast! I love this place!

Why Am I not living Here?
I am married to a Proud Queenslander who refuses to live anywhere but right here in the sunshine state.

Lucky I have a wonderful aunty who just happens to share my love and passion for the coast and has been settled at ocean shores for quite a many years now, and we are so darn lucky to be able to visit as much as we want or able to.

We packed up the car and the kids and headed off down to Ocean shores for a quick getaway from the hussle and bustle and exhaustion from moving house. we desperately needed a break to recharge and liven our spirits again and what a better way than with family at the beach?

As soon as we arrived the children were eagerly begging us with their pleas of " Can we PLEASE go to the beach now?" It was great to catch up with the cousins and together we all headed down to the beach.

We spent the night watching the moon rise up over the horizon
It was so gorgeous.

Being from the city  the children were mesmerised by the fact
that people were lighting fires on the beach right next to us, They kept asking me if they were allowed?

I said they must be and then i asked them if they would like to make one?
there eyes widened and asked me If I was serious and I said " you bet " and then I sent them off
in search of firewood, and another started digging the big pit to hold our fire into.

I didnt get the chance to take some photos but I must admit it was the best night I have
had with my children in a lonnnng time.

 We toasted marshmallows!
We gave the children little pep talks about the danger of fires!
We cuddled and sat around the blazing fire!
It was all the children talked about for a long time!

It ended way too soon but at least there is always next time!
